Dr. Radpour’s Background

Chris Radpour, MD is a practicing, board-certified OB/GYN with Galen Medical Group in Chattanooga, TN.

Over the years, many of his patients reported difficulty placing and removing their pessaries due to limited hand strength or arthritis.

In response, Dr. Radpour developed the PessaryAssistant™—a simple, mechanical aid designed to assist with the handling, placement, and removal of vaginal ring pessaries.

Developed with input from colleagues and patients, and made from FDA-compliant materials, the device is intended to support ease of use while maintaining a straightforward, functional design.

A Look at Dr. Radpour’s Journey

Dr. Radpour is a Chattanooga native, having graduated from Baylor School in 1986, where he had a particular fondness for wrestling, soccer, diving & pole vaulting.  He then attended Emory University in Atlanta, where his love of diving earned him 3 NCAA National Championships, 2 NCAA Diver of the Year, & 2 UAA Diver of the Year awards.  After graduating from Emory’s Goizueta School of Business in 1990, he worked in business for a while, attended UT Knoxville for pre-med classes & more competitive diving, then completed his Medical Degree at the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, TN.  Dr. Radpour finished his 4-year Ob/Gyn residency at UT Medical Center in Knoxville in 2002 and has been in private practice with Galen ObGyn since 2002.

I strive to provide thoughtful, individualized care in a setting where patients feel comfortable, heard, and respected. Each patient’s needs are unique, and my goal is to support them through clear communication and practical solutions.

Caring for a patient during pregnancy and delivery often creates a lasting, family-like connection. I take that responsibility seriously and strive to provide care grounded in both clinical experience and genuine respect.
